Registration

Current members can register using their IBMS membership number to set-up a password.

Please keep both your password and IBMS membership number secure and confidential.
Choosing a secure password and keeping it confidential

Your password will need between 6 and 20 characters, of which at least one of the following characters to be included in your password: uppercase, lowercase or numeric. You are advised to also include at least one non-alphanumeric character such as £ % & ! # =

Please note that you can change your password after registration via your account.

I am trying to register but I don't have my IBMS membership number

I am trying to register but it won't recognise my details
This may be happening for the following reasons.

  • We do not have an email address on your membership records. Please email website@ibms.org with your IBMS membership number, date of birth and new email address that we will add to your records.
  • Your IBMS membership number is incorrect. Please check your number on your card.
  • If you have recently joined the IBMS within the last week the online database may not yet have your details. The database is updated as frequently as possible.
  • Your membership is no longer current.

I registered but did not receive automatic confirmation
First of all please check your spam folders to make sure the email confirming registration has not been falsely recognised and sidelined as spam by your email provider/software.

Your email address may be out of date or incorrectly entered on your online profile. Please contact the IBMS office on 020 7713 0214 or mail@ibms.org quoting your membership number and date of birth.

About my forum user name
Your forum user name will be automatically set as a combination of your first name and surname. You will not be able to change your forum user name to a different one.

Logging in and passwords

My password does not work - I can't login
Remember that passwords are case-sensitive so you must use the same upper/lower caps and characters as you set upon registration.

If we do not have a current email address for you this may prevent you from logging in. Please email website@ibms.org with your IBMS membership number, date of birth and a new email address that we can add to your records.

Your membership may have lapsed if you have not kept up to date with your subscriptions. Please contact subscriptions@ibms.org to update your membership.

I have forgotten my password
If you have forgotten your password you can use the password reminder facility here. Your password will be automatically emailed to the address you supplied on registration.
