IBMS in Scotland Training Forum

Training is an aspect of development in laboratories in which there is considerable activity, interest and enthusiasm. Until now, occasional meetings have provided the opportunity for the sharing of information, practice and views for enthusiasts in the training network. The IBMS in Scotland Training Forum is a group convened to provide a forum for discussion and sharing of best practice in training.

Remit of the IBMS in Scotland Training Forum

It was agreed that the group:

  • Will be a conduit for effective communication about training and education matters, both to the IBMS in Scotland Committee and to members.
  • Share good practice in identified topics relating to training and education that are of key interest to IBMS members.
  • Will aim to be responsive to the many changes within training and education and to the needs of IBMS members.
  • May also make recommendations to the IBMS in Scotland Committee in order to identify the way forward for professional training and education in Scotland at both a strategic and an operational level.
