IBMS Centenary innovation competition

Our centenary is a milestone for the Institute and also the biomedical science profession. Our history is built on innovation, and in recognition of our 100 year achievement we are inviting our members to enter a competition with a prize of £250.00.

The competition is to write a news style item of approximately 500 words in length on a service innovation that either you have been directly involved in delivering or that has been a project within your department. You are encouraged to be as innovative as you wish and to include pictures if you feel appropriate.

Entrants must be current members and send their submission to mail@ibms.org with the subject header of Centenary Innovation Competition stating their name, place of work, membership class and a contact address and telephone number. The closing date for submissions is 5th November and the winner will be informed in person by email and announced on the website on 12th November. We will publish the winning entry on our website and also in the Biomedical Scientist. This is your opportunity to showcase innovation in biomedical science. Entrants can be working in the NHS, private laboratories, research, industry the armed forces - in fact anywhere where biomedical science is practised.
