The National Laboratory Medicine Catalogue Open Peer Review

The National Laboratory Medicine Catalogue is the product of a partnership between the Royal College of Pathologists, Department of Health and NHS Connecting for Health.  It provides the first comprehensive standard for pathology test requests and results reporting.

This collaborative piece of work has already involved pathologists across a variety of disciplines and specialities.  Our aim is to continue to develop the Catalogue in partnership with those who are using it.

To this end, we are launching a peer review of the Catalogue today open to anyone with an interest or expertise in pathology.  The review will run until Monday 19th March and during that time we hope to gather as many comments and recommendations as possible.  We would, therefore, be grateful if you could publicise this opportunity through your own membership channels.

Details of how to access the Catalogue and provide feedback can be found on the NHS Connecting for Health website.  There is also a communications pack available on this link including a narrative, responses to frequently asked questions and a slide presentation.
