The Institute will award training status to a laboratory, subsequent to conformity with the IBMS Clinical Laboratory Standards.
Full training approval of a laboratory is awarded on a combined basis of self-assessment and a subsequent visit of an Institute representative, on a registration or specialist portfolio visit. The first step is to submit a self-assessment checklist to the Institute.
