The workshop is designed to supplement the in-house experience and training for qualified BMS staff, currently completing the IBMS Cellular Pathology Specialist Portfolio. This is the first of 2 advanced workshops to be carried out this year. Beginners workshops are also held in the year. The content of the workshop is based on the knowledge and competence requirements of the IBMS Cellular Pathology Specialist Portfolio, sections 7.4a and b, and 7.5a and b. At the end of the session the delegates should be able to understand and have specialist skills in specialist principles of cellular pathology and histological immunocytochemical staining techniques and be able to trouble shoot if problems occur, becoming competent in Cellular Pathology Techniques at a specialist level
