HEE seeks reviewers for newly formed centre
25 September 2020
Health Education England's new centre for Advancing Practice is inviting Biomedical Scientists to apply to oversee its accreditation process.

The HEE Centre for Advancing Practice (the Centre) is part of the Department of Education & Quality. The Centre is working to establish its functions which will include offering recognition to registered health and social care practitioners who meet HEE Standards of Education and Training and the capabilities set out in the current Multi-professional framework for Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) in England. Further details can be found at: https://www.hee.nhs.uk/our-work/advanced-clinical-practice

The Centre launched an accreditation process for existing validated Advanced Clinical Practice programmes in England and a feasibility study for the Independent Portfolio route (IPR) on the 1st July 2020. The first programme accreditation submissions have been received. We are looking to recruit reviewers from across the multi-professional health and social care workforce and Higher Education sector. We are also taking the opportunity to recruit reviewers for the feasibility study. Although the cadre of reviewers for the study is likely to be quite small, we are envisaging that the full IPR programme will be rolled out early in 2021.

Further details of the role including the role descriptor, the application process and application form and be found at:
