Learning & development

Develop your knowledge and skills with a range of IBMS learning and development resources

Enhance your professional practice and development with our Continuing professional development (CPD) scheme

We provide our members with a CPD scheme that offers a flexible system of recording CPD that is easy to use and meets your requirements for achieving and maintaining your professional registration.

Please note: The IBMS CPD scheme is now entirely electronic. This means that the recording, amending and validating of CPD are all carried out online. In facilitating a service that more efficiently meets the demands of our membership and reflects current requirements of the wider profession, the scheme is now user-oriented and as a result, the IBMS can no longer offer to validate manual submissions for CPD diplomas. We are more than happy to guide members in using the new scheme and provide any additional information as necessary.

IBMS Journal Based Learning (JBL) involves reading and then answering questions based on articles in scientific journals.

JBL is an excellent way to learn about scientific advances and techniques as part of your continuing professional development (CPD).
