POCT – The Power to Disrupt September 2019

The event will update delegates on how POCT services are forming part of the plans that NHS Improvement have for networks in England. Collaborative working and standardisation of tests across regions is high on the agenda. The approach to service provision will be relevant for all territories.

This event will champion the excellent work that is being undertaken which disrupts traditional patient care with POCT tests at the heart of a number of positive improvements to patient services.

The agenda covers many exciting applications of point of care tests, and a full product fair will offer delegates a chance to see innovations in this sector whilst networking with colleagues to share best practice.

Introduction to NGS: DNA September 2019

This 2 days course gives an overview of each step of a complete sequencing workflow: from considerations for experimental design; choice of sample preparation method and sequencer; to challenges of data analysis. A participant will have an opportunity to discuss their future projects with our experts and have a chance to set up a sequencing run.
The training will take place at one of Illumina Solution Centre.
Target audience: Biomedical scientists who have no or very limited experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), but who would like to gain an understanding of the technology.
