CPD awards return for 2021
The CPD Awards are designed to celebrate outstanding professional development in science, showcasing examples of good practice and continuous improvement. They celebrate the professional development efforts and achievements of registrants across the four Science Council registers: Registered Science Technician (RSciTech), Registered Scientist (RSci), Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Chartered Science Teacher (CSciTeach).

These awards provide IBMS Science Council registrants with a unique opportunity to showcase their outstanding CPD in an extremely challenging year for the profession. Biomedical Scientists have consistently been trailblazers for the CPD Awards, and I encourage registrants to make a self-nomination to the Science Council. Please do demonstrate to the wider scientific and technical community your CPD excellence, your commitment to self-improvement and how your activities have benefited the laboratory service and its users.

CPD Awards Week
While this year we cannot be together in one room to celebrate outstanding professional development in science, we continue to celebrate the success of our members online.
From 9th November 2021, join the Science Council online and on social media where results of the Awards will be announced, winners will be met, and the celebration of outstanding CPD will continue.
They will also be joined by several special guests online throughout the week. All winners and commendations of the CPD Awards 2021 will receive an invitation to attend the ceremony held in 2022.

Nominations close at 23:59 on 4th July. Winners will be notified in mid-September and the awards week will be held online on 9th November.
