Get ready - National Pathology Week 2021

Get ready - National Pathology Week 2021
11 October 2021
Help promote biomedical science for National Pathology Week 2021 – 1-7 November 2021.

We are delighted to support National Pathology Week 2021– the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) annual week-long celebration of activities and events promoting the disciplines and professions in pathology. By supporting this event, we help showcase the roles and specialisms of IBMS members and help them to promote the profession to the public.

This year's theme is 'All Together Now'. We are excited to support this important awareness campaign to highlight the vital role of biomedical science.

Ideas to help you celebrate

You can help teach children about Biomedical Science with our fun activity sheets. Each A4 printable sheet provides instructions and equipment lists to fun and easy to set up activities that introduce children to biomedical science. The activities cover a variety of disciplines and include: Magnetic Cereal, UV Handwashing, Blood Grouping and DNA Beads.

Open the doors to your laboratory through social media and use your social media accounts to raise awareness of biomedical science and help promote your vital role to the public.

Previously members have used their accounts to show what they do at work, or have taken over their trust’s social media channels and posted photos and videos throughout the week. Talk to your communications team to find out how they can help you.

Use #AtTheHeartOfHealthcare in your posts and we will help you promote to a wider audience from the IBMS accounts. Likewise, if you follow us on social media you can help us promote our posts by liking and reposting to your followers.
