Get ready - National Pathology Week 2024

Help promote biomedical science for National Pathology Week 2024 – 4-10 November

We are delighted to support National Pathology Week 2024– the annual week-long celebration of activities and events promoting the disciplines and professions in pathology. By supporting this event, we help showcase the roles and specialisms of IBMS members and help them to promote the profession to the public.

Ideas to help you celebrate

Teach children about Biomedical Science with our fun activity sheets. Each A4 printable sheet provides instructions and equipment lists to fun and easy to set up activities that introduce children to biomedical science. The activities cover a variety of disciplines and include: Magnetic Cereal, UV Handwashing, Blood Grouping and DNA Beads.

Open the doors to your laboratory through social media and use your social media accounts to raise awareness of biomedical science and help promote your vital role to the public.

Previously, members have used their accounts to show what they do at work, or have taken over their trust’s social media channels and posted photos and videos throughout the week. Talk to your communications team to find out how they can help you.

Use #AtTheHeartOfHealthcare in your posts and we will help you promote to a wider audience from the IBMS accounts. Likewise, if you follow us on social media you can help us promote our posts by liking and reposting to your followers.

So be sure to go out, participate and play your part in promoting biomedical science!

Order freebies for your event – IBMS members can now order using the public engagement form accessible through logging in to MyIBMS. To ensure that we can get your goodies to you in time, the deadline for receiving orders is Tuesday 29th October.

Let us know what you get up to

However you choose to get involved, we want to hear from you. Email us at communications@ibms.org or contact us via our social media channels so that we can help amplify your event and promote biomedical science to the public.
