New AAPT event on consent training

On 21 April 2017, the AAPT will host a training day on issues relating to consent
The Association of Anatomical Pathology Technology (AAPT) will host an event in liaison with the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) on issues involving consent.
By the end of the training day, participants will:
- Have knowledge of the HTA Codes for Consent
- Have knowledge of the post mortem consent process
- Have practical experience of dealing with consent issues
- Be able to facilitate the consent process with N.O.K and clinician
- Be able to inform their Trust of consent procedures and best practice
- Be able to help set up a consent process
A discounted registration fee of £100 is available to AAPT members. This discount is also available to members of the IBMS, Bereavement Services Association (BSA) and Royal College of Pathologists, provided they book before 31st January 2017. The Registration form is available here.
