NHS 70 - celebrating the contribution of biomedical science
2018 marks the 70th birthday of the NHS. To celebrate, the IBMS is collaborating with NHS England to highlight the contributions our members have made in the NHS, to thank them for their hard work and to promote the vital role of biomedical science in healthcare.
Throughout the coming months, we are encouraging our members to share their amazing stories of working in the NHS since 1948. The idea is simple: tell us how your work has played a part in the history of the NHS, when you have worked there and any stories you would like to share about your work.
Kick-starting our celebrations we’re holding our first IBMS History Week from 19-25th February. Information about further events the IBMS will be undertaking will be published soon and members will be notified.
Contributions
If you would like to contribute, please send a short description of your role at the NHS, the dates that you work or have worked there and any stories you would like to share. Photographs would also be gratefully received to help promote your story.
