Dr James Robinson

Dr James Robinson is a bioinformatics scientist with over 20 years of experience in developing bioinformatics solutions within the transplant field. He leads a Bioinformatics team who provide bioinformatics development and support for key projects within the Anthony Nolan. These include the continued development and maintenance of the IMGT/HLA and IPD Databases, in collaboration with EMBL-EBI. Other projects include population genetics studies of large datasets of HLA data and implementing cloud-based solutions to enable sequencing of HLA genes using PacBio Technology.
He is a member of the WHO HLA Nomenclature Committee, EFI and WMDA committees and section editor for the HLA journal.
