Lisa Wheatley

Consultant Biomedical Scientist

Lisa has been a consultant in the GI team in Leicester for 7 years; independently reporting the full GI repertoire.  She joined a pilot project in 2012 which became the first cohort of BMS's to undertake IBMS/RCPath reporter training, and quickly dropped Gynae in favour of GI.  Prior to this Lisa gained broad experience in every Cellular Pathology discipline as scientist and then manager,  looking after specialist and molecular services, gynae cytology and quality management.  She is currently BMS Professional Lead for Cellular Pathology and the local pathology lead for BCSP.
