Rapid On-Site Evaluation of Respiratory Cytology

22/04/2024
ROSE is an expanding field particularly in head and neck, EBUS and EUS. The benefits of ROSE are well documented and multiple guidelines for best practice promote ROSE. Appropriate planning of services and training of staff is essential for any service to run safely and effectively. This course will aim to help staff providing the service to understand its many. These training days are suitable for those preparing for the IBMS ROSE qualification but are equally suited to those who just want to learn more about the service they are helping to provide. The course covers core medical, technical, and morphological aspects of head and neck, EBUS and EUS ROSE.
We have organised these days so that participants can attend the whole course or just selected days.

Course Aims.
At the end of the course the participants should:
• Understand the sample collection and preparation methods for these samples.
• Understand pre and post analytical variables. • Assess adequacy.
• Be able to recognise basic cell types.
• Be able to distinguish between clearly benign cells and those requiring further assessment.
• Understand the ancillary techniques that can be used in each case.
• Understand the equipment requirements.
• Understand the health & safety and information governance requirements.

Introduction to Cellular Component, Tissue Morphology & Tissue Recognition Webinar-2024

16/10/2024
This webinar and associated microscope workshop, introduces the four basic tissue types: epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue, and provides basic knowledge and competence in the microscopic recognition of normal histological tissue and some key aspects of pathological tissue.
