World HIV Day 2025 – Commemoration, Awareness, and Lived Experience
The IBMS London Branch EDI committee is organising a webinar to commemorate World HIV Day 2025. Commemoration, Awareness, and Lived Experience will take place on the 1st December 2025 at 6:00 pm, hosted by Sue Alexander, Jemma Shead and Nikki Emodi.
We are honoured to welcome distinguished speakers from the Terrence Higgins Trust who will be sharing their lived experiences:
- Sue Hunter – Positive Voices Speaker and Lived Experience Programmes Coordinator
- LeaSuwanna Griffith - Positive Voices Speaker and London HIV Ambassador
- Pank Sethi – Positive Voices Speaker and London HIV Ambassador
Attendees will learn the importance of World AIDS Day and understand why continued awareness, advocacy, and education remain essential. The webinar will cover:
- The current challenges and progress in HIV prevention, treatment, stigma reduction, and community support across the UK.
- The lived experiences of people living with HIV, gaining deeper insight into personal journeys, stigma and empowerment.
- The role of Positive Voices and Terrence Higgins Trust in supporting individuals and educating communities.
