Advancing Healthcare Awards 2026

The IBMS is proudly sponsoring the Biomedical Scientist of the Year Award at the Advancing Healthcare Awards 2026.

The Advancing Healthcare Awards 2026 are open for entry. It is open to UK allied health professionals, healthcare scientists and those working alongside them. It is an annual event that celebrates best practice, innovation, impact and leadership. The awards aim to identify good, impactful practices that reflect the crucial contributions of AHPs and healthcare scientists in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

We're once again sponsoring the award of Biomedical Scientist of the Year. Previous winners include Malcolm Robinson, Dr Joanne Horne, Dr Guy Orchard, IBMS President Dr Sarah Pitt, Bamidele Farinre,  Ian Davies MBE, Leonie Wheeldon and Craig Baker.

IBMS members have previously won the NHS England Chief Scientific Officer’s award for the Outstanding Healthcare Science Service of the year, the Rising Star award, and the Overall Winner award.

If you or a colleague have made a real difference to patients' lives, this is your chance to get recognition.

The closing date for entries is Monday, 16th March. The winners will be announced on Friday 19th June at an awards ceremony and lunch in London.
