Applications open for Science Council Trustee vacancies

The Science Council is recruiting three trustees to join its Board. This is a strong opportunity for IBMS members to bring the voice of biomedical science to a UK-wide governance table representing 35 member organisations and a community of 320,000+ scientists, technicians and educators. 

Who can apply

Applicants should be an employee or a member of a Science Council Member Body, which includes IBMS members. The Science Council welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and is committed to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion. 

What you’ll do (in brief)

Trustees help ensure the Science Council:

• Strengthens the collective impact of the science community for public benefit.

• Upholds high professional standards and supports knowledge exchange.

• Provides the governance, oversight and strategic direction a modern charity requires.

You’ll use your professional expertise to advise the executive, contribute to strategy, and ensure the organisation is appropriately resourced and administered.
