The inaugural meeting of the Consultant and Advanced Practice Community of Practice for Biomedical Scientists.

The inaugural meeting of the Consultant and Advanced Practice Community of Practice for Biomedical Scientists. This new community aims to bring together colleagues working at — or aspiring to — advanced and consultant levels across all pathology disciplines, to share expertise, challenges, and best practices. The theme for our inaugural meeting is ‘Career Case Studies’.

Evening agenda:

  • Welcome and Introduction – chaired by project lead Dr Victoria Bradley Overview of CAPCOP
  • Meet the team Research underpinning the community of practice IBMS Grant Community of Practice discussion themes – Aimee Pinnington (host)
  • Live discussion and interactive activity to explore community themes Career Journey – Sheri Scott (host) and Gavin Regan (guest speaker) Gavin, a fellow of the IBMS and a trainee consultant biomedical scientist, will be joining us to talk about his career journey
  • Co-Creation element of the research – Nicky Rouse (host) with Andrew Ware Co-creation research Invitation to lead future discussion threads
  • The Knowledge Barometer – future community priorities Close – Dr. Victoria Bradley
