HCPC launches new Corporate Strategy for 2026–2031
The strategy sets out the HCPC’s continued commitment to protecting the public through clear professional standards, evidence-based regulation and action where concerns arise.
Recognising the pressures facing health and care services, including workforce shortages, increasing demand and rapid technological change, the strategy highlights the need for regulation that is responsive, proportionate and fit for the future.
The HCPC has identified four core objectives for the next five years:
- Putting patients at the centre of smarter, preventative regulation
- Supporting healthcare workforce development through proportionate, agile regulation
- Delivering technology-enabled regulatory excellence and organisational sustainability
- Strengthening public protection through the regulation of NHS managers
Alongside the strategy, the HCPC has also published its Corporate Plan, which outlines the actions and priorities that will support delivery over the coming year.
Further information, including the full Corporate Strategy and Corporate Plan, is available on the HCPC website.
The IBMS will continue to engage with the HCPC and support members as the strategy is implemented across the health and care sector.
