HCPC consults on proposed registration fee increases
The proposed changes would affect biomedical scientists and other HCPC-registered professionals. As registration is required to practise, any increase in fees will have a direct impact on IBMS members.
HCPC states that the proposals are intended to support the delivery of its regulatory functions.

The IBMS encourages members to respond to the consultation and share their views directly with the HCPC.
This is an important opportunity for biomedical scientists to highlight how proposed fee changes may affect them and the wider workforce.
IBMS response
The Institute will submit a formal response to the consultation, informed by feedback and discussion with IBMS Council.
We will raise members’ concerns about fee increases with the HCPC and are hopeful of engaging in meaningful dialogue as part of the consultation process.
