My Lab Guided Tours: Northumbria Pathology at North Tyneside General Hospital

Jonathan Boxshall, Pathology Quality Manager and Deputy Clinical Pathology Lead, and Richard Hardy, Blood Science Service Manager, give a guided tour of Northumbria pathology.

The service has seen significant improvements in efficiency and capacity, alongside reductions in delays and late finishes.

A more open, connected Blood Sciences area has been created, removing barriers that previously limited flow and collaboration.

An effort has also been made to invest in the workforce through continuous professional development, encouraging cross-team collaboration and creating a culture where people feel heard and valued.

This lab tour was produced in collaboration with Beckman Coulter.
