IBMS Experiential Route to Fellowship
IBMS Fellow is the grade of membership for individuals working at the highest level of the biomedical science profession. This is applicable to biomedical and clinical scientists and those senior scientists, academics and researchers not requiring HCPC registration.
Our Experiential Route to IBMS Fellowship is for individuals who are working in an advanced scientific or senior managerial role in the field of biomedical science.
They will also need to have at least 2 years senior advanced scientist level experience (equivalent to NHS band 7) but not hold:
- an IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma
- an IBMS Diploma of Higher Specialist Practice
- or have a biomedical science related PhD together with five years professional experience in an area related to biomedical science
