IBMS seeks Fellow to join Finance, Audit and Risk Committee

IBMS Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FARC) is inviting expressions of interest from Fellows to join the committee

The committee plays an important role in supporting the governance of the Institute. It oversees the Institute’s financial performance and investments, monitors the annual audit process, ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards, reviews the effectiveness of risk management arrangements and makes recommendations to IBMS Council.

As part of the Institute’s governance structure, one member of the Committee must be a Fellow who is not currently a Trustee or Council member. The IBMS is therefore seeking a Fellow who would be interested in contributing to the Institute in this capacity.

The ideal candidate will have experience relevant to financial oversight. While formal accounting qualifications are not required, experience such as departmental budget management, audit processes, financial planning or risk management would be valuable.

The Committee normally meets four times each year. Three meetings are held online via Microsoft Teams and one meeting takes place in person at IBMS headquarters at 12 Coldbath Square, London.

This is not a Council position, and the time commitment is limited to attendance at the four meetings each year, along with reasonable preparation time.

If you are interested in applying

Fellows interested in being considered should submit a short statement outlining their suitability together with a current CV.

Applications should be sent to Nadine Rulliere at [email protected] by Thursday 9 April 2026.
