Three one day update courses, suitable for experienced personnel, or if you are working towards the DEP or ASD qualification. Each day separately covers urine cytology, respiratory tract and serous effusions and includes lectures, workshops, multi-header sessions and self-assessment cases.

Biomedical Scientist / Health Care Scientist Reporting in Histopathology Stage A: GI, Gynae & Skin Exam Preparation Day

This day has been designed specifically for those working towards the scientist reporting qualification and approaching or contemplating undertaking their stage A examination.
The day has been developed by Karen Ezard, Laura Saberton, Vicki Martin who have experience in and have qualified through to stage D.
There are Gastro-intestinal, Gynaecology and Skin sessions which will run concurrently.
This is an exam preparation course. There will be advice and useful hints and tips from those that have taken the examinations along with an opportunity to discuss submitting a successful portfolio but it is not a morphology course. Participants will undertake a mock examination based around cases that might easily appear in the exam. Individual detailed feedback on performance will be provided to each candidate after the course either by e-mail or MS Teams, as per individual request.
The programme has been updated to make it also suitable for those studying for the limited scope reporting options.

THE EARLY CAREER SUMMER CONFERENCE IS A MEETING RAN ANNUALLY BY THE MICROBIOLOGY SOCIETY THAT AIMS TO PROVIDE A LAUNCH PAD FOR EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS AND MICROBIOLOGISTS INTO THE WORLD OF SCIENTIFIC MEETING POSTER AND TALK PRESENTATIONS. THE CONFERENCE SESSIONS ARE DETERMINED BY THE EARLY CAREER FORUM WHICH TAKES INTO CONSIDERTION THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT CONCERNS AND NEEDS OF ITS MEMBERS TO CREATE A MEETING SPECIFIC TO THEM.
