Advancing biomedical science by supporting original research
IBMS members in the UK
Research Grants are awarded annually to IBMS members to support original investigations and other suitable research work.
The grants awarded are usually between £500 and £5000.
IBMS members overseas
A single grant of up to £2500 may be awarded annually to IBMS members employed outside the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland to support original investigations and other suitable research work.
How to Apply
IBMS research grants are open to current IBMS members only.
You may apply for either a UK and Republic of Ireland or overseas research grant, but you must indicate which type of grant you are applying for on your application form.
Please read the Conditions of IBMS Research Grant Awards and Applications before completing your application form.
The deadline for applications is the 31 March in the year of application- you will be notified of the outcome of your application in August.
