Our CPD scheme provides an opportunity for you to participate in a variety of structured activities and formally record your learning experience and outcomes.
We recognise our members’ continuous learning through the award of IBMS CPD Diplomas. In order to gain an IBMS CPD Diploma, you will need to complete 24 activities and reflection on those activities across three categories.
Achieving an IBMS CPD Diploma by completing a broad range of activities across different CPD categories will enhance your knowledge and skills and support you in identifying and achieving learning outcomes.
The IBMS CPD scheme is entirely electronic. The recording, amending and validating of CPD are all carried out online and we can no longer offer to validate manual submissions for CPD diplomas.
IBMS CPD ePortfolio
The IBMS CPD ePortfolio provides a platform for you to record and monitor your CPD activities online.
The ePortfolio is designed to enable you to critically analyse and reflect on your learning experiences and record the resulting benefits to your professional practice and development.

IBMS CPD Officers
IBMS CPD Officers provide support and guidance for IBMS members on CPD and the IBMS CPD scheme.

Joining the IBMS CPD scheme
You must be an IBMS member to use our CPD scheme. To become an IBMS member visit our Join page.
All new IBMS members are automatically registered onto our CPD scheme. If you are an IBMS member who is not registered onto the CPD scheme please . If you haven't yet set up an account with the website, you can do so by clicking on register. You can then fill in your membership number, surname and date of birth to create a password. Please allow an overnight cycle for the system to update before logging in.
