Neurology Diagnostics Workshop: Challenges and Pitfalls 19th June 2018
The aim of the workshop is to enhance the attendees' technical knowledge and practical skills, increasing the experience and confidence in the Neurology Diagnostics field.

The attendees will be given a detailed presentation on Antibodies against Neuronal Antigens relevant to the diagnosis of Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndromes, Neuromyelitis Optica, Autoimmune Encephalitis and Diseases of the Peripheral Nervous System. The lectures will include disease background, pathogenesis, diagnostic approach and latest innovations.
Following the theoretical session in the morning, the day will feature an afternoon practical Microscopy session in which the attendees will be shown demonstration IFA slides while discussing and applying knowledge learnt in the theoretical session. The latest innovations, such as transfected cells and immunoblots as confirmatory tests, will be explained and discussed as well.
The workshop will conclude with an open forum session for the attendees to discuss major challenges in Neurology diagnostics and share their experience.
