Get ready for our new CPD system

Last updated: 15th May 2025

We’re launching a brand-new CPD system – and there are a few things members need to do now to get ready.

As part of our upcoming website relaunch, the IBMS is introducing a new and improved My CPD system to better support your professional development. It’s designed to give you easier access to resources, personalised learning, and a more streamlined way to log your CPD activities.

But before we switch systems, there’s some important housekeeping to do.

What you need to do now

If you currently use the IBMS CPD system, please take the following steps by 16th June:

1. Download your full CPD record
Log into My CPD and export your history as a PDF or CSV. This includes diplomas and logged activities.

2. Save your evidence files
Open each activity, click ‘Edit’, and download any documents you want to keep.
Please note: Evidence files will not be transferred to the new system.

3. CPD Diplomas – please note
If you're working towards a diploma, the new CPD platform will not carry over your progress. Everyone will start fresh in the new system.

You can keep logging CPD as usual until we make the switch – but please make sure you’ve saved everything you need before then.

Coming soon: Our new website

Alongside the new CPD platform, we’re also relaunching our website with a fresh look, improved navigation, and better access to your member benefits. As we're still finalising the launch dates, we'll inform all members once we have the news to share.

Highlights include:

? Easier account management
Quickly update your personal info and membership preferences.

? Tailored content
Resources, news and training relevant to your discipline and career stage.

? Expanded access
More from the Biomedical Scientist and additional member-only tools.

Questions?

We’ll be sharing more about the new CPD system and website soon. In the meantime, visit our FAQs or get in touch with the team if you have any questions.

Thank you for being a part of IBMS – we’re excited to bring you these improvements and support your development even better.
