IBMS Executive Head of Education Alan Wainwright speaks at IFBLS's biomedical science world congress

On 29th August Alan Wainwright CSci FIBMS travelled to Kobe, Japan to speak at the 32nd World Congress of Biomedical Laboratory Science

Alan has been Executive Head of Education at the IBMS for 16 years. He will speak on Friday, 2nd September at the symposium ‘How to Make Next Generation Biomedical Laboratory Scientists’. Alan’s talk is entitled ‘Options for Delivering Biomedical Scientist Education and Training’. This talk will discuss the high standards and skills expected of professionals in the fields of biomedical science and will explore options for delivering education and training appropriate for all levels of staff, from support staff to consultant biomedical scientists.

The World Congress is hosted by the International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science (IFBLS) from 31st August to 4th September 2016 in Kobe, Japan. The theme of this year’s World Congress is “International Innovation of Laboratory Medicine—Basic and Advanced?”

This congress will host three congresses simultaneously: the Congress of Japanese Association of Medical Technology Education, the Congress of Japanese Association of Medical Technologists and the Congress of Japanese Society of Laboratory Medicine. There will also be an exhibition of the most current medical devices available from Japanese manufacturers.
