Interim CEO of BIVDA Announced

The British In Vitro Diagnostic Association (BIVDA) has announced that Helen Dent will be serving as their Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO). IBMS often works closely with BIVDA and looks forward to continuing to do so under Helen’s leadership over the coming months.

Following her appointment, Helen said:

“I will work to ensure that members’ expertise is utilised and the value of IVD testing is understood and amplified throughout the system, ultimately to improve patient outcomes by increasing adoption of IVDs within the NHS.”

IBMS Chief Executive David Wells said:

“Helen's commitment to better patient outcomes has been evident throughout her career. Under her direction, BIVDA will undoubtably continue to enable a healthier population while also supporting economic growth for diagnostics in the UK. I look forward to working with her in the future.”

Before becoming CEO, Helen worked as BIVDA’s COO for three years, following a career in procurement. In previous roles she worked The NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency, focusing on pharmaceutical purchasing, and pharmacy and diagnostics procurement for Surrey and Sussex Confederation.
