UK SMI Microbiology Investigations documents withdrawn - May 2025

Please note the following documents have been withdrawn on 20 May 2025. This is in line with the UK SMI strategy and in agreement with the UK SMI Steering Committee that technical UK SMIs will be replaced with the relevant syndromic document as they are published.

• UK SMI B 28: Investigation of Genital Tract and Associated Specimens has been withdrawn following the publication of S 06 - Infectious syndromes affecting the genitourinary tract and reproductive organs.
• UK SMI S 3: Conjunctivitis has been withdrawn and its contents have been incorporated into UK SMI S 11 - Red and painful eye.
