The IBMS is pleased to announce a joint webinar with the HCPC to provide information and clarification on the HCPC international and UK based routes to registration as a biomedical scientist.

Training and refresher training for registration and specialist portfolio verifications.

A conference with presentations from guest speakers focussed on FIT, calprotectin and current research. It is aimed to promote engagement between peers through the programme of talks and networking time.

During this session we will look more closely at the benefits of Mohs micrographic surgery to include improved preservation of uninvolved skin, better cosmetic outcomes and how it can be used on problematic infiltrative invasive tumour types. In addition we will consider the technical requirements in detail along with an understanding of the artefacts that can be created during the procedures and how they can also be resolved. Emphasis will be given to developing a comprehensive understanding of the skills required for the laboratory scientist to deliver good quality stained tissue sections

This webinar provides a basic introduction and training in the theory and practice of tinctorial staining techniques used in diagnostic Cellular Pathology laboratories, including Haematoxylin and Eosin stained sections together with the special staining techniques.

Bob Keeble and Dr Selwa Alsam will run the course.
