Training Officer Support Forums enable members and training officers to come together to discuss training plans, how to prepare for verification, and any other issues raised at IBMS Training for Trainers events.

ROSE is an expanding field particularly in head and neck, EBUS and EUS. The benefits of ROSE are well documented and multiple guidelines for best practice promote ROSE. Appropriate planning of services and training of staff is essential for any service to run safely and effectively. This course will aim to help staff providing the service to understand its many.
These training days are suitable for those preparing for the IBMS ROSE qualification but are equally suited to those who just want to learn more about the service they are helping to provide. The course covers core medical, technical, and morphological aspects of head and neck, EBUS and EUS ROSE.
We have organised these days so that participants can attend the whole course or just selected days.

Led by IBMS Head of Digital Education, Jim Taylor, and Education Technologist, Deirdre McLaughlin, each 45-minute session offers practical insights to enhance your experience. This final session will wrap up the series with a Q&A and troubleshooting common issues.

During this session we will look more closely at the benefits of Mohs micrographic surgery to include improved preservation of uninvolved skin, better cosmetic outcomes and how it can be used on problematic infiltrative invasive tumour types. In addition we will consider the technical requirements in detail along with an understanding of the artefacts that can be created during the procedures and how they can also be resolved. Emphasis will be given to developing a comprehensive understanding of the skills required for the laboratory scientist to deliver good quality stained tissue sections.
