At our next training for trainers event, we will be giving information on the updated registration training portfolio (V5) and how to use OneFile.

UK NEQAS Blood Coagulation annual scientific meeting – 2 days of lectures and discussion with international experts in the field of haemostasis.

During this session we will look more closely at the benefits of Mohs micrographic surgery to include improved preservation of uninvolved skin, better cosmetic outcomes and how it can be used on problematic infiltrative invasive tumour types. In addition we will consider the technical requirements in detail along with an understanding of the artefacts that can be created during the procedures and how they can also be resolved. Emphasis will be given to developing a comprehensive understanding of the skills required for the laboratory scientist to deliver good quality stained tissue sections

This one-hour focused webinar will include the following subject matter that covers both staining techniques:
- Brief discussion of the types of tissue elements demonstrated and their clinical significance
- An outline of the staining chemistry principles
- An outline of the UK NEQAS CPT expected optimal staining criteria
- Discussion of how failures in the protocol steps affect optimal staining performance
- Presentation of data derived from UK NEQAS CPT assessments
- Discussion of how to avoid or troubleshoot the most common staining problems
- An outline of possible quality measures suitable for monitoring performance

We have organised a collection of engaging and informative sessions that will run from January to December 2025, covering topics including reflective writing, student placements, and workplace wellbeing.

Delegates will attain the knowledge to recognise and assess ICC technical issues in stained sections and insights into how to assure high quality ICC staining Utilises presentations, and discussion-based sessions.

This webinar provides an in-depth focus on the recognition and prevention of technical issues that occur in ICC, and guidance on ways to ensure ICC quality in diagnostic Cellular Pathology.
