Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this day you should –
- Be aware of recent changes in the NHSCSP
- Be able to determine the origin of glandular cells in LBC slides – cervical and non-cervical and whether within normal limits
- Be aware of potential pitfalls in the interpretation of glandular changes in LBC samples
- Be aware of HPV subtypes and their significance
- Have an understanding of the potential role of HPV testing in the future
- Have an understanding of the role of HPV test and its impact within the screening programme
