2016 Advancing Healthcare Awards open for entries

The 2016 Advancing Healthcare Awards are now open for entries. The awards, now in their tenth year, are exclusively for allied healthcare professionals, healthcare scientists, and those who work alongside them in support roles.

Entering the Advancing Healthcare Awards is a great way to put yourself and your team on the map, show how you make a difference to patient care and to achieve the recognition you deserve.

This year there are thirteen awards which can be entered directly. To find out which are open to AHPs and healthcare scientists, visit the awards website. You will also find advice and tips on completing your entry, and details of past winners.

Entries are being sought in the following categories:

• The Welsh Government’s award for Prudently advancing practice
• Institute for Physics and Engineering in Medicine award for patients as partners in science
• Unite the Union award for working together
• Award for outstanding achievement by a support worker or technician working alongside an AHP or healthcare scientist
• Chamberlain Dunn Learning’s Rising Star award
• Chief Scientific Officer’s Award for Leadership in action- improving patient care
• The Scottish Government’s award for Driving improvement, delivering results
• The Academy for Healthcare Science award for innovation
• Public Health England Award for contributions to public health
• The Chief Allied Health Professions Officer’s award for Entrepreneurship
• The Scottish Government’s award for improving quality: measuring and demonstrating impact
• The Northern Ireland award for Maximising resources for success
• The Macmillan award for Leadership and innovation in cancer rehabilitation

The closing date for entries is 17.00 on Monday 25 January 2016. The judging will take place on 26 February 2016, and the awards lunch will be held on Friday 15 April 2016 at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in South Kensington, London.
