EU in vitro guidance document withdrawn

A document has been withdrawn from Public Health England’s online guidance
Public Health England, in collaboration with the NHS, Public Health Wales and other professional bodies to develop the UK Standards for Microbiology Investigations (UK SMIs), has removed Q3: European directive on in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVD directive) from its online collection of guidance documents.
These UK SMIs are intended as a resource for UK based professionals working in laboratory medicine. Removed on 5 June, this document was withdrawn due to the transition to a new standard in this area.
