The pathology staff at Hull Royal Infirmary hosted a healthcare careers stand

On 22 June, a group of pathology staff at Hull Royal Infirmary organised a stand for a ‘Hands on health’ careers fair, held at Hull Guildhall.

Among the staff present was IBMS member Chris Chase, Pathology Training Manager at Hull Royal Infirmary. This event was very popular with a large number of students attending from Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire. Visitors were able to speak with an experienced biomedical scientist, a trainee and a placement student, providing a varied view of the profession.

Chris commented, “Many students were fascinated with the available career options, and took away literature and a new insight into biomedical science.”
