Venue:

This session has been set up with the help of IBMS/RCPath examiners to provide some training whilst allowing staff and speakers to maintain safety during the pandemic.

The session will outline briefly what examiners are looking for in prospective candidates, and will also allow candidates to test their case management understanding. The participants will have the opportunity to view images by video link on the day and will then be expected to understand the clinical management of the patient based on observation and their significance for the patient.

At the MS Teams session the panel will discuss approaches to the case types and describe what they feel should be included in a model answer.

Prior attendance at the written component would be advantageous, but is not mandatory. 

IBMS CPD credits can be claimed for this activity.

  • The types of cases likely to be discussed
  • Approaches to structuring of answers
  • The marking scheme
  • The knowledge level required
Venue

This event will be held via Microsoft Teams.
You will need:

  • access to a PC with a camera function or smart device such as smartphone or tablet
  • Google Chrome web browser installed
  • good internet access, whether connection is via wifi or a hardwire network cable

Members of the NEPSEC Team will be on hand to assist you with any technical difficulties.

This event is £100
(NHS Participants attending from North West, East Midlands and North East, Yorkshire and Humber NHS regions will incur a £15 per day administration fee only).
