32nd World Congress of Biomedical Laboratory Science Awards now open

The IFBLS will be celebrating their 32nd World Congress of Biomedical Laboratory Science with a number of competitions that are now open for entry

The 32nd World Congress of Biomedical Laboratory Science will take place on August 31st – September 4th 2016 in Kobe, Japan.

The theme of this year's Congress is "International Innovation of Laboratory Medicine - Basic and Advanced?".

The IFBLS World Congress is a great opportunity to exchange new research results and theories among biomedical laboratory scientists (BLSs), doctors, professors, and students.

There are a number of awards open for application including:

  • 2016 Good Poster Award which recognises IFBLS associate members, for their initiative and creativity in a poster presentation.
  • 2016 Elisabeth Pletscher Award which recognises an IFBLS Associate member for their continuous support of Biomedical Laboratory Science through continuing education and other activities. 
  • 2016 DVTA Continuing Education Award, which assists an IFBLS Associate member with restricted financial resources to attend the IFBLS World Congress for continued education opportunities.
  • 2016 Nordic Award, which enables an IFBLS Associate member with restricted financial resources to attend the General Assembly of Delegates (GAD) and to promote the objectives of IFBLS.
  • 2016 IFBLS Student Award, which enables a student with restricted financial resources, to attend the IFBLS World Congress and Student Forum.
  • 2016 JMAT Award, which assists an IFBLS Associate member or Chief Delegate of an Associate member with restricted financial resources to attend the IFBLS World Congress for continued education opportunities.
  • 2016 Past President Award, which recognises an individual who has provided outstanding service to the profession of Biomedical Laboratory Science in the field of international exchange with IFBLS in the promotion of the Goals and Objectives of IFBLS.

The deadline for applications is April 1st 2016.
