Read about Catherine Lorenzen’s successful talk to sixth form students.

On 23rd January, IBMS member Catherine Lorenzen MSC CSci FIBMS, gave a talk at Kent College Canterbury (sixth form) about pursuing a career in Biomedical Science.

Catherine is Chief Biomedical Scientist and Phlebotomy Services Manager for Kent & Canterbury Hospital’s pathology department. Catherine took time out of her busy schedule to visit the school and give a lively and informative careers talk to Dr. Frank Sochaki’s class.

Catherine had a great time and commented:

“It was very well received by all the pupils and their teacher Dr Frank Sochaki. The pupils were very interested in all the different disciplines in Blood Sciences and we had a very informative questions-and-answers session about various aspects of the job.”

We are pleased that Catherine had such a fun time in sharing her experiences with students.
