HCPC introduces tribunal service

The HCPC has launched a Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service (HCPTS). Whilst it is not entirely separate from the HCPC, this distinct group will act as the hearings service of the HCPC and will hear allegations by panels independent from the HCPC.

This tribunal service will demonstrate that the panels deciding on allegations concerning registrants are distant from the organisation that investigated the issues under consideration.

The tribunal service will also soon have a new website dedicated to hearings, decisions, legislation, participant information and a virtual tour of the centre.
