IBMS Council member Allan Wilson speaking at Malaysian science conference

Allan Wilson CSci FIBMS, a lead biomedical scientist in cellular pathology and advanced practitioner in cervical cytology at Monklands Hospital, Airdrie, and honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists will discuss IBMS benchmark policies and licensing. He will also deliver an update on recent advances in cytology.

Allan will also be presenting a joint talk to biomedical science professionals and students with Associate Professor Dr Mohd Nazil Bin Salleh on Careers in Biomedical Science on 13th August. Dr Salleh is Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences at the University of Selangor and the Institute’s first ever Chartered Scientist in Malaysia.

The IBMS has international branches across the world including Ireland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Cyprus and Gibraltar. We are also collaborating with biomedical science professional bodies worldwide.

The 27th National Scientific Conference of the Malaysian Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MIMLS) will be held at the University of Selangor. The conference programme includes symposiums, plenary lectures, discussions and poster presentations on many disciplines within the fields of medical laboratory sciences.
