IBMS Members shortlisted for the Advancing Healthcare Awards 2016

IBMS Members Laura Wales LIBMS, Nicola Svenson and Sharon Bamber CSci FIBMS have been shortlisted in the Advancing Healthcare Awards 2016

Laura Wales LIBMS has been shortlisted in the Unite the Union award for Working together category for her work in ‘Developing the Edinburgh Sperm Donor Service’.

Clinical scientist Nicola Svenson, based at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been nominated for the Chamberlain Dunn Learning Rising Star Award.

Sharon Bamber CSci FIBMS has been shortlisted for the Chief Scientific Officer’s Award for Leadership in action- improving patient care. Sharon works in the Wirral Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy Service.

A record number of entries were received in this year’s Advancing Healthcare Awards, which will be presented on 15 April in London. The awards, in their tenth year, are exclusively for allied health professionals, healthcare scientists and those who work with them in support roles.

The AHA recognise and reward projects and professionals that lead innovative healthcare practice and make a real difference to patients’ lives in healthcare science and the allied health professions.
