IBMS supports #MissingType Campaign

With there being a decrease in the amount of donations of A, B, and O blood worldwide, blood.co.uk has begun a campaign to alert and raise a call to action for potential donors in the UK. The campaign calls for supporters to drop the letters of the blood groups from their names to demonstrate support and encourage people to register to donate blood.

Blood.co.uk explains England requires almost 200,000 new donors, particularly from blood groups like A negative and O negative, as well as donors from more diverse ethnic nationalities.
