NHS England publish new document on personalised medicine
15 September 2016
NHS England has recently published a new document on personalised medicine

NHS England published Improving Outcomes through Personalised Medicine at NHS Expo earlier this month. This document seeks to explain why a move away from the current 'one size fits all' approach in health care has many benefits.

It sets out what is meant by personalised medicine, now and in the future, and the approach we will take, working with our partners, so that we can embrace new approaches, while ensuring that ethical, equality and economic implications are fully understood and addressed. These developments are being led within NHS England by Prof Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer for England.

Scientists have a key role to play in this new era of medicine and as this strategy develops, the IBMS will continue to provide you with the latest updates.
