Peter Gisby awarded IBMS 50 year medal

IBMS member Peter Gisby MIBMS, was presented with the Institute’s 50 year medal

In commemoration of Peter Gisby’s more than 50 years’ IBMS membership, he was awarded the Institute’s 50 year medal.

Peter first became a member of what was the IMLT (Institute of Medical Laboratory Technicians) back in January 1965; a time when statutory registration had recently become a condition of employment in the NHS.

During the following fifty years Peter enjoyed a successful career, working in a variety of roles at Allen and Henburys, Hertford County Hospital and The Wellington Hospital in London.

The IBMS warmly congratulates Peter on his medal. This was presented by Lynda Rigby, Executive Head of Marketing and Membership, at the Medical Sciences Historical Society’s autumn lectures at the IBMS.
